Who else buys office supplies before having a desk? Giggles…

Atunci cand lucrezi de acasa, totul devine o provocare. Poti fi distras foarte usor, gandindu-te ca inca mai ai treburi de facut prin casa sau ceilalti membri ai familiei, deodata, au nevoie de tine. Mai mult, daca lucrezi stand pe canapea, productivitatea ta dispare mai repede decat biscuitii Oreo in mana unui copil pofticios.

Asa mi se intampla si mie…din pacate, canapeaua aceea portocalie si moale ma induce intr-o stare de somnolenta greu de invins. Dar ce te faci, cand din greseala, te asezi si pe telecomanda si deschizi televizorul, iar la tv ruleaza un film bun si te acapareaza din primele 5 minute? Incerc sa ma amagesc, gandindu-ma ca pot face doua lucruri in acelasi timp. Iar la sfarsit, imi dau seama ca am editat un filmulet si 5 poze, cand in acelasi timp trebuia sa lucrez de doua, sau poate trei ori mai mult.

That is what’s happening to me…Unfortunately, that cozy orange couch makes me sleepy. And, what if, you’re accidentally sitting on the remote and turn on your Tv and guess what? You find a super great movie and it gets you hypnotized within minutes. So, I’m thinking I can do two things in the same time. But, by the end, I realize I only edited a video and 5 photos, when I should’ve worked double or maybe triple.

Talking about remote control, does this happen to you too? / Apropo de telecomanda, ti se intampla si tie asta?

Revenind la canapea, m-am hotarat sa iau o decizie inteleapta si sa ma despart de ea. Doar pe perioada cand trebuie sa lucrez 🙂

Asadar, trebuie sa imi rearanjez o parte din mobila pentru a amenaja un spatiu de lucru, adecvat si pentru proiectele mele DIY.

Deja visez cu ochii deschisi…un birou alb, poate cu sertare, un ceas de odinioara de culoarea cuprului in dreapta, cana mea favorita cu ciocolata calda alba care ma asteapta langa laptop, o vaza roz prafuit cu flori naturale, in stanga, cateva accesorii de birou pentru organizare, un panou imens cu fotografiile de familie preferate, un calendar si rame foto cu citate inspirationale.

Si nu mai am rabdare…

Trebuie sa ma gandesc si la cateva solutii de organizare a materialelor pentru proiecte. Pe cateva din cele mentionate mai sus le voi cumpara, dar o mare parte din ele le voi face singura. Follow me, if you wanna see 🙂

Intre timp, mi-am achizitionat ceva accesorii de birou, pentru ca : de ce nu?

Inca nu ma pot hotari asupra biroului. Caut ceva modele, pe Pinterest si deja am selectat cateva favorite. Le puteti vedea mai jos.

Coming back to the productivity murdering activities, my advice to avoid these, would be to find an office space in your home to make you clock into that work mindset.

Because I am often that “couch” person I was talking about earlier, I have to make a smart move and change this old habit. I am already thinking about rearranging some of the furniture to have my own space.

Dreaming, while writing this post…I will begin with a white desk, maybe with drawers, an old style copper clock on the right, my favorite mug filled with hot white chocolate (yummy…) , right by my laptop, a DIY copper vase with fresh flowers on the left, some special office accessories and a motivation board with my family pictures, a calendar and my inspiration quotes.

Can’t wait…

I also have to think about some organization tips for my DIY projects materials. I will buy some of the office supplies, but the majority I will do them myself. Stay tuned, if you wanna see.

Meanwhile, I already purchased some little office things. I can’t really decide about the desk…So, I’m searching for some inspiration, on Pinterest.
